I have had a life long fascination with drawing, and I continue to observe and record my relationship to the natural landscape through sculpture in a linear form. My interest ranges from views of the broadest horizon to the smallest leaf and flower, manipulating my interpretations through materials that are primarily steel and wood. These materials offer me great flexibility for expression through forging, welding and carving, and I choose them because they will last for years before finally returning to their natural state. The meaning of my work is personal and I prefer that each person who views it derives his or her own interpretation.
